IQ Financial Services Ltdis registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office, registration reference ZC180048, and its registered address is IQ Financial, 4th Floor, Silverstream House, London, W1T 6EB.

All regulated advice on this site is provided through The Finance Seer Ltd, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Where you go ahead with a regulated service, your data is shared with The Finance Seer Ltd so that Lewis Maxwell can act as your adviser and The Finance Seer Ltd can meet its regulatory obligations. The Finance Seer Ltd’s registered address is 5th Floor, 167-169 Great Portland Street, London, W1W 5PF.

You may notice two different ICO registration numbers across this site. That’s because IQ Financial Services Ltd and The Finance Seer Ltd are two separate organisations with two separate roles: IQ Financial Services Ltd (registration ZC180048) controls the enquiry data you submit through this website, while The Finance Seer Ltd (registration ZB481771) is the FCA-regulated firm through which advice is provided, and is separately registered with the ICO in its own right.

When you submit the enquiry form, we collect your first name, last name, email address, mobile number, what type of cover you’re asking about, any message you choose to add, and your confirmation that you’re happy to be contacted. We also record technical details about where the enquiry came from: the page you submitted it from, and, where present, the marketing campaign that brought you to the site.

IQ Financial Services Ltd receives your enquiry and passes it into The Finance Seer Ltd’s client relationship system (Adviser IQ), where it’s processed by Lewis Maxwell as your adviser, so that he can respond to your enquiry and, if you go ahead, provide protection advice and arrange cover on your behalf through The Finance Seer Ltd.

Your details are never sold, and never passed to anyone for their own marketing. A small number of specific services helpIQ Financial Services Ltd and The Finance Seer Ltd run this site and respond to you, and each only processes your data to provide that service:

• Adviser IQ is the client relationship system The Finance Seer Ltd uses to store and manage enquiries. This is where your enquiry is normally delivered and kept.
• Resend is a transactional email provider, used only as a fallback to email your enquiry to Lewis Maxwell directly if delivery to Adviser IQ fails.
• Vercel is the hosting provider this website runs on.

None of these providers use your data for their own marketing purposes.

Your enquiry is processed and stored in the UK. This website is hosted by Vercel, and the code that handles your enquiry runs on Vercel servers in London. Adviser IQ, where your enquiry is then delivered and kept, is UK based and holds its data on UK servers.

One exception: if delivery to Adviser IQ fails, your enquiry is emailed to Lewis Maxwell instead using Resend, which is based in the United States. That fallback is the only route by which your details would leave the UK.

UK data protection law allows transfers outside the UK where appropriate safeguards are in place. Any such transfer is made under the data processing terms agreed with the provider, which include the standard contractual protections required for transfers to countries without a UK adequacy decision. The calculators under /calculators work entirely inside your browser. Anything you type into them, including your age, your health details and any figures about your estate, is used to work out the result on your own device and is never sent to us, never stored, and never shared with anyone. We cannot see it. Nothing you enter into a calculator reaches IQ Financial Services Ltd, The Finance Seer Ltd, or any of the providers listed above unless you separately choose to tell us about it through the enquiry form.

We don’t make any decision about you by automated means alone, and we don’t profile you. Your enquiry is read and answered by Lewis Maxwellpersonally. The calculators do arithmetic on figures you type in; they don’t assess you, and their results are illustrations rather than decisions about what you can have or what you would pay.

We rely on two lawful bases under UK GDPR. First, your consent, since you actively confirm you’re happy to be contacted before the form can be submitted, and you can withdraw that consent at any time. Second, our legitimate interestin responding to enquiries that people have chosen to send us, which we’ve weighed against your right to privacy and consider proportionate.

We keep your enquiry data for as long as we have an ongoing advice relationship with you, and for a further period afterwards to meet our legal and regulatory record-keeping obligations as a firm authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority. If your enquiry doesn’t proceed to advice, we keep the enquiry record for no longer than necessary to handle it and to meet those same obligations, and then delete it.

You have the right to:

• be told how your data is used;
• access the personal data we hold about you;
• have inaccurate data corrected;
• ask us to delete your data, where applicable;
• restrict or object to how we use your data;
• data portability, where applicable; and
• withdraw consent at any time.

To ask what personal data we hold about you, or to exercise any of the rights above, email Lewis@thefinanceseer.co.uk with as much detail as you can so we can locate your record. We will respond within one month, as required by law.
